“Drei Königinnen, dunkel, unschuldig, klein
einem Schoß entsprungen,
können niemals Freundinnen sein.

Drei dunkle Schwestern, jede so schön,
zwei werden verschlungen,
nur eine gekrönt.”

No one expects a princess to be brutal. And Lada Dragwyla likes it that way.

Ever since she and her brother were abandoned by their father to be raised in the Ottoman sultan’s courts, Lada has known that ruthlessness is the key to survival. For the lineage that makes her and her brother special also makes them targets.

Lada hones her skills as a warrior as she nurtures plans to wreak revenge on the empire that holds her captive. Then she and Radu meet the sultan’s son, Mehmed, and everything changes. Now Mehmed unwittingly stands between Lada and Radu as they transform from siblings to rivals, and the ties of love and loyalty that bind them together are stretched to breaking point.

The first of an epic new trilogy starring the ultimate anti-princess who does not have a gentle heart. Lada knows how to wield a sword, and she’ll stop at nothing to keep herself and her brother alive. Continue reading “{Rezension:} And I darken – Kiersten White”

Harry Potter, Rufus Beck & die Hörbücher

© Audible

April TBR

Hello guys!

My March was incredible good and now I’m very motivated to continue my reading habits like that. I guess my April TRB is a little too ambitious, but I will try my best.

So this month I plan to read 9 books and listen to 5 audiobooks.

Edit: 4/10: I guess my goal was waaaay to ambitious….

March Wrap-up 2016

Hello & welcome to my monthly wrap-up for March!

I’m pleased to tell you that I’m finally out of my reading slump that lasted for way too long. March really was an incredible month; generally and reading wise. Can you believe that I have read 7 books and listened to 6 audiobooks?

All together I have read 4179 pages and listened to nearly 50 hours of audiobooks! This was only possible because I have the possibility to listen to audiobooks during work, and because I was sick for one week and had a week of holiday that I spent at my parents place in Germany (= plenty of travel time).

But without further ado, here’s the complete list of last month.
EDIT: Somehow there’s some issue with the formatting and putting links behind the picture, so you can find the ratings from here. Sorry for the mess, but when I add a caption the same mess happens.

When sixteen-year-old Eden Munro agrees to spend the summer with her estranged father in the beachfront city of Santa Monica, California, she has no idea what she’s letting herself in for. Eden’s parents are divorced and have gone their separate ways, and now her father has a brand new family. For Eden, this means she’s about to meet three new step-brothers. The eldest of the three is Tyler Bruce, a troubled teenager with a short temper and a huge ego. Complete polar opposites, Eden quickly finds herself thrust into a world full of new experiences as Tyler’s group of friends take her under their wing. But the one thing she just can’t understand is Tyler, and the more she presses to figure out the truth about him, the more she finds herself falling for the one person she shouldn’t – her step-brother.

Throw in Tyler’s clingy girlfriend and a guy who has his eyes set on Eden, and there’s secrets, lies and a whole lot of drama. But how can Eden keep her feelings under control? And can she ever work out the truth about Tyler?

The book was kindly provided by Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.
