Inhalt:

No one expects a princess to be brutal. And Lada Dragwyla likes it that way.

Ever since she and her brother were abandoned by their father to be raised in the Ottoman sultan’s courts, Lada has known that ruthlessness is the key to survival. For the lineage that makes her and her brother special also makes them targets.

Lada hones her skills as a warrior as she nurtures plans to wreak revenge on the empire that holds her captive. Then she and Radu meet the sultan’s son, Mehmed, and everything changes. Now Mehmed unwittingly stands between Lada and Radu as they transform from siblings to rivals, and the ties of love and loyalty that bind them together are stretched to breaking point.

The first of an epic new trilogy starring the ultimate anti-princess who does not have a gentle heart. Lada knows how to wield a sword, and she’ll stop at nothing to keep herself and her brother alive. Continue reading “{Rezension:} And I darken – Kiersten White”

The Mortal Instrument #1 to #6 – Cassandra Clare

The Mortal Instruments Series
Cassandra Clare

– Collective Book RevieW –

Yeah, I was definitely late for the party but better late than never right?
Anyway, I started to read The Mortal Instruments Series last summer after a friend recommend it to me. I first was very hesitant about it and did a good research on it before buying the books but the reviews just sounded too brilliant to leave these books unread. And what can I say, I don’t regret reading them.

Cassandra Clare as a vivid imagination that takes you away in a world that is close to ours and yet again so far. Her writing style is fantastic and really enjoyable. Please notice that I have read the books in German and thus, part of the initially meaning might have gotten lost due to the translation but I have never felt like that. I really liked the wording and the feel the writing gave me. The translation never seemed weird and not suiting and, without braking, due to my background I often feels when a translation just doesn’t feel right.

Because I never really wrote any review for the books on my blog, I thought it was a good idea to make a collective review for all the 6 books and keep them rather short. So let’s get this party started!

Mad Season – Katia Wildermann

I received this ARC from the author in exchange of an honest review.
Find Katia Wildermann on Goodreads and pay her website a visit, too.

Being caught—literally—between her nerdy neighbor and the MMA fighter her agency managed wasn’t as bad as Lyla might have expected. That is, if she’d ever expected to be in this situation.

Lyla Mason knows she’ll have her hands full when her boss assigns her to babysit Callum Reed, MMA fighter and her PR agency’s latest client. He is used to getting his way, and hotter than hell, both in the cage and in the bedroom, or on the floor, in the elevator…. Social media sites are rife with photos of him in compromising situations, and she’s been tasked with cleaning up his image before he launches into the most important season of his career.

Kylie Scott – Lick

This book* was a random find while browsing through the bookstore, and I’m happy that I found it.The synopsis sounded so fun that I simply had to buy it! I’m just a sucker for Rockstars… It’s the first book out of four in the Stage Dive Series . You can buy Lick on Amazon and find more information upon it on Goodreads.

Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this.

Evelyn Thomas’s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure as hell never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.

One thing is for certain, being married to rock and roll’s favourite son is sure to be a wild ride.
